What's the most you would pay for a pair of shoes?!

When deciding to purchase a pair of shoes,  what are your deciding factors? Is it quality, longevity, appearance, or price. I like to consider all of these things. I will not go to Wal-Mart and purchase a pair of shoes because I know that next season I will not be able to wear them. I do not pay an arm and a leg because, considering my circumsatnces that would be completely irresponsible. I like to stay in the $50-$100 dollar range and if they're a pair of gotta haves, I  will consider going up to $150. I want my shoes to last for at least 2 years; and if I want that I have to pay for that. I Consider it an investment. Its been too many times where I take advantage of the cheap cute shoes and have been completely embarrased in public. Buy yourself a good sturdy , timeless shoe that will last you seasons to come.
